Lidding Stock Innovation Debuts at SouthPack
Versatile lidding stock to debut at SouthPack;
for a demonstration visit Mid-Atlantic Packaging Supply
at booth #1819.
BALTIMORE, MD—March 3,
2005—An innovative lidding stock, ideal for
microwaveables and ovenables, will be introduced at SouthPack
at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA, April
13-14, 2005 by Baltimore, MD-based flexible packaging converter
Mid-Atlantic Packaging Supply (MAPS).
MAPS’ new
lidding stock seals to all substrates popularly used for
microwaveable and dual ovenable packaging applications,
including APET, CPET, PVC, PE, PS, PP and more.
Until now, each
packaging substrate has typically required its own special-purpose
lidding stock.
The new film’s
exceptional versatility means packagers of microwaveable
and dual ovenable foods can streamline or eliminate their
inventories of application-specific lidding stocks and rely
instead on a single, all-purpose product.
Besides cutting
inventory costs and complexities, food packagers will also
reduce their materials costs by adopting MAPS' new lidding
stock.
MAPS’ new
lidding stock has been in use throughout the European markets
for more than three years by major food packagers, including
Northern Foods, Heinz Europe and Oscar Mayer.
"We are very
excited to be debuting this innovative new product at SouthPack,"
says Scott Manning, executive vice president. "We are confidant
that once packagers see the product for themselves it will
be the talk of the show."
